Meet Kessoku Band: Who Plays What

Every story needs a band, and ours is Kessoku Band. Four girls, four instruments, four hair colours. Here is who plays what, and where they show up on our designs.

Who is in Kessoku Band?

• Hitori Gotoh, lead guitar. "Bocchi" to everyone. She plays guitar alone and finds talking to people very hard. Pink hair.
• Nijika Ijichi, drums. The band's leader, and the one who pulls Hitori in. Blonde hair.
• Ryo Yamada, bass. Short blue hair.
• Ikuyo Kita, vocals and rhythm guitar. Red hair.

What does "Kessoku Band" mean?

"Kessoku Band" literally means "zip tie", a pun on "unity band": four people, tied together by the music. You will see the name in Japanese, 結束バンド, on several of our designs.

Where does the name "Bocchi" come from?

From hitoribocchi, the Japanese word for being alone. That is how Hitori starts the story, and that is why her journey into a band matters so much.

Which design is which member?

• Hitori: the pink manga-style design with BOCCHI in big letters, the GUITAR / HITORI GOTOH poster and the grey close-up with BOCCHI THE ROCK!
• Nijika: the yellow portrait with her name in Japanese.
• Ryo: the blue design with RYO YAMADA running down the side.
• The whole band: the four colour stripes and the four pairs of eyes, one stripe per member.

How do I pick?

Pick your favourite, or pick the band, so nobody is left out. Every design comes on tees, long sleeves, sweatshirts, hoodies and kids' and youth sizes.
